Have you ever worried about something? Have you ever lost sight of the bigger picture? Have you ever lost your trust in God, because you think you can handle it on your own? I don't know about you, but my answer to all of those questions is yes. Anything in this sinful world can take our trust away from God in the blink of an eye. The key is to overcome these fears, and then leave it up to God.
Fear is one of the strongest feelings a person can possess. Satan uses fear to throw God under the bus, making us think that we shouldn't trust in God. As a part of our sinful nature, we tell ourselves we are in control, and that it is our job to fix the problem. A part of the fear that we possess, Satan plants illusive thoughts in our minds such as, “What will they think of me?”, “What happens if I trust in God, and he doesn’t help me?” Satan loves when we have this mentality, because we simply aren’t trusting in God, we are thinking about anything and everything that could go wrong. Even though in the end, God has control over everything. Often this modernized world makes us feel as if we aren’t good enough. That no matter what, nothing we do will ever live up to the “right standards”. These feelings get the best of us, and we lose sight of the bigger picture, which is that God loves us and will take care of us no matter what. Joshua 1:9 says, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” This passage reassures us that God always has our back and always will, even when we don’t trust in Him and try to take matters into our own hands. Trust in the Lord your God, not in the worldly things.

This is a insightful and great post! I agree with your statement that “Satan uses fear to throw God under the bus...” Satan always wishes for us to turn away from God’s love. How do you think we can we reassure the uneasy that God is always with them?

I love the inspiration! The second paragraph especially made me think about the control Satan has in my life and God's final control over everything. I like that you were not afraid to show the power of fear but showed that God is still greater. What would you recommend as a reminder of the bigger picture?
